Stephen C. James

Thumb_james_stephen

Stephen C. James fled Texas in 1999, moving to L.A. to pursue a career in free verse poetry, as he misunderstood which “Industry” people were referencing. Since 2003 he has run the drama program at an area middle school, directing over a dozen plays featuring awesomely awkward and awkwardly awesome teens. He performs frequently in the Los Angeles area, but has graced the iO West mainstage with festival darlings The TuskegeeXperiment, Devil May Care, and The Mighty Stumps. His second home however, is in The Loft at iO West hosting and producing The Sunday Social where plays in Nerdvana, a two person sketch/improv group that has graced both The Out of Bounds Festival in Austin and Chicago Sketchfest. If you stick around late on Sunday, Stephen may play with THE SOCIAL, tell a story in Granny’s Squares, or make out with you. Gently.
