Kat Palardy, a broad from Beantown, began her studies of musical theatre and comedy at Northwestern University. Many of those bonds are still strong here in LA where she writes and improvs with quite a few Chicagoans. She recently produced a web series called ‘Window Dressing,’ with alums Dan Foster and Britt Lower, which was written up on Splitsider, Daily Candy, and took home several awards at the LA Webfest this year.
After Chicago she had a short stint in NYC, where she began her voiceover career and worked on several new musicals including her personal favorite, First Wives Club: The Musical, at The Old Globe Theatre. But the latest stop on this train? LOS ANGELES. Mmm mmm I could eat up that sunshine every day! And I do.
Highlights of LA: getting certified as a Zumba instructor, pitching and producing sketches with FunnyorDie.com (search ‘DudeTakeDude’), working alongside my sister-life-partner-director-editor Bridget Palardy, voicing a Cartoon Network character, and acting with my heroes on Brooklyn 99 and The Pete Holmes Show.
Last minute shout-outs to the ‘Blue Door’ healing house of spiritual bohemian love children, and my East n’ West Coast comedy partners Lizzie Redner and Claire Neumann!
