Josh Rachford

Josh Rachford grew up in Manassas, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, DC. After attending the University of Virginia and receiving a degree in Cognitive Science, Josh moved to New York to study improv comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. He interned at the Daily Show and Gawker before taking a full time position at Tumblr, which he left to move to Los Angeles.

In LA Josh has worked on commercials and in internet videos as well as appearing in the season finale of The Newsroom. Since moving to Los Angeles he has been a member of the Story Pirates, an arts education organization that takes kids’ stories and turns them into a hilarious sketch show. As a member of the UCB house team Hot Mess he went to the San Francisco Sketch Fest and performed on NPR. As a stand-up, he has performed at the Las Vegas Improv. He now appears regularly in Top Story! Weekly at iO.
