Celeste Pechous
Celeste Pechous has been performing comedy and improvising in Chicago and elsewhere from Kankakee to Vienna. Originally from Iowa City, Pechous moved to Chicago to study improvisation at i.O, Second City and The Annoyance Theater. Her stomping grounds include The Second City’s National Touring Company; i.O’s house teams: Rockstar of Siam and Leather and Lace. She was also a founding member of the all-girl ensemble Sirens. Pechous was an original cast writer and performer in Gayco’s “Weddings of Mass Destruction” which won ’Best Ensemble’ in New York City’s Fringe Festival. She voiced George Eckert’s animation; “The Clan” in which she was nominated for best actress at the Midwest Film Festival and has written knock-knock jokes for Dixie Cups. Most recently Celeste opened the Chicago Improv Festival with a two-woman Bassprov show. Her short Old Maid is making it’s way around the film festivals, premiering at Outfest in Los Angeles and most recently in Toronto’s Film Festival.
