Alexis Notabartolo is a self-described “casino brat,” reared in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and among the tribal casinos of Palm Springs, CA, Alexis graduated from Pitzer College in Claremont, CA with a degree in Political Studies. After a U.S. State Department internship at NATO HQ in Brussels, a Fulbright to the Republic of Georgia, and several years as a federal lobbyist in Washington D.C., Alexis fled politics to pursue comedy full-time. Alexis is the redder-haired half of sketch and improv duo Velvet Pile, co-anchor of podcast “Now, Hang on a Second,” and one third of improv experience Companions. Alexis is graduate of the Conservatory at Second City Hollywood, has trained at UCB, The Nerdist School, and iO West, and taken part in comedy festivals from Boston to Palm Springs. She writes for both television and film and her academic writing has been published in several peer-reviewed journals.
