Not since the Axis powers joined forces in 1937 has a triumvirate of such disparate comedy ideology created such ballyhoo in the pantheon of Improvisational Absurdity.
MAMA LUKE is a three man Improv team spanning three generations of history, culture and comedy influence. Michael Capristo, Dave Cederquist and Glenn Takakjian make up this unholy Trinity. Not quite a Harold, not quite an Armando, their freeform approach is, however, quite amusing.
Mike is a Pittsburgh native and one of those rare people who have spent some time in New York before moving to LA. He’s been performing long-form improv for 5 years including the years he wasn’t very good at all. He enjoys writing and performing all over the city and has been called a “manic pixie dream-girl” by some bullies.
Dave is from Cazenovia, a small town in New York known for hunting and alcoholism. He moved to Los Angeles in 2007 and enjoys performing improv and throwing away screenplay drafts. His natural enemy is the copperhead.
Glenn, expatriate from New Jersey, has been in the Comedy game for over 25 years. Filmmaker, writer, actor, musician, he simply can’t make up his mind what he wants to do. As the “elder statesman” of the group, his pop culture references are often so arcane and incomprehensible, audiences are left outraged and bewildered.
