A restaurant called Sweat’s sets the scene for 86’d, a one-woman sketch show about life on all sides of the service industry. Written and performed by actress Courtney Arnett, 86’d tackles the topic from all angles, with Arnett embodying and exploring a wide range of colorful characters. Amanda Blake Davis directs the show with musical direction by Brendan Kelly.
Courtney Arnett is a Nashville native and attended Emerson College in Boston before moving to Chicago. She is a graduate of The Second City Conservatory as well as iO and was a member of the Second City’s House Ensemble’s production of Right Place, Rahm Time. Courtney was featured in “Interview” at the LA Comedy Shorts Film Festival (2012) and “Just Friends” at the TBS Just for Laughs Festival (2011).
